Why we need this role
Carrier Relations is a key enabler for Colt to meet the increasingly global demands of Enterprises and key Wholesale partners. The team is focused on continuous cost improvement and revenue acceleration initiatives to meet Colt’s business objectives by constantly managing and monitoring existing supplier performance, on-boarding new suppliers, or driving targeted investments to increase the availability of the Colt portfolio - deepening and/or broadening the existing Colt footprint to address this demand.
What you will do
As a Carrier Relations Manager you will manage end-to-end 3rd party commercial relationship with telecommunication providers including negotiations and contractual aspects, supporting the sales teams and wider carrier community in support of revenue retention and generation.
- Develop and execute commercial strategy with a prime focus on cost reduction, optimisation and competitive advantages to deliver profitable revenue growth for the South East Asia and Oceania region.
- Responsible for the successful development, integration, and ongoing management of a portfolio of Carrier Access products/services available to support Colt's product portfolio.
- Responsible for network and collocation infrastructure procurement for the region.
- Responsible for supplier management: negotiations, contracts and overall relationship.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders, including Sales, Technical Solutions, Product & Technology, Deliver, Service Assurance, Marketing and Pricing, and promote effective cross functional working.
- Actively drives network expansion together with Expansion, Product, Engineering teams.
Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Manage commercial relationship with 3rd party network and colocation providers to support revenue retention and generation.
- Responsible for supplier / partner strategy and manages performance against cost savings targets.
- Achieves optimal access and network solutions with the providers to support Colt’s customers.
- Reporting regularly to leadership with insights and highlights, as well as areas for improvement on performance and spend.
- Develops and drives strong stakeholder relationships to help deliver cost effective solutions in line with quality criteria.
- Supports and drives network and optimisation initiatives to achieve profitable revenue growth.
- Supports network expansion projects.
What we're looking for
Must haves:
- Proven experience in telecommunications
- Background in Carrier Management, Business Development or Network Development
- Experience in commercial negotiation and contract management
- Demonstrated success in achieving cost optimization.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking and project coordination capabilities
- Comfortable working cross-functional
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Might haves:
- Knowledge about the market in South East Asia and Oceania is preferred.
- Understanding of Intra-Asia and Pacific submarine cable networks.
