The primary purpose of this role is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of accounts payable transactions while supporting process improvements, internal controls, and stakeholder relationships across the organization.

What you will do
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing and issue resolution.
- Perform account reconciliations, investigate outstanding items, and ensure timely resolution of payment and invoice-related inquiries.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including prepayment reviews, GR/IR analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable or Finance Operations experience in a multinational environment.
- Act as a key contact for vendors, business stakeholders, procurement, treasury, and external auditors
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members and support cross-functional projects when required.
What we're looking for
The successful candidate will have solid Accounts Payable experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across a global organization.
Must haves:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable or Finance Operations experience in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, payment cycles, vendor management, and AP controls.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Business-level English communication skills (written and verbal).
Might haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment.
- Knowledge of internal controls and audit requirements.
- Experience with process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Japanese tax regulations
- Project management or team leadership experience.
