Colt provides network, voice and data centre services to thousands of businesses around the world, allowing them to focus on delivering their business goals instead of the underlying infrastructure.

Why we need this role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Siebel Platform Administrator responsible for the technical administration, availability, stability, security and maintenance of Siebel environments across Development, SIT/UAT and Production.

This is a technical platform administration role, not a functional/application support role. The role requires elevated administrative access to manage environments, execute controlled deployments, perform technical maintenance and ensure Production platform health and compliance.

What you will do

Key Reponsibilities are:

  • Administer and maintain Siebel environments across DEV, SIT/UAT and Production.
  • Manage Siebel Gateway, Siebel Servers, Application Object Managers and related components.
  • Ensure Production availability, stability, performance and overall platform health.
  • Execute and manage Siebel deployments, including repository, SRF and non-repository changes, across environments.
  • Perform Siebel patching, upgrades, configuration and technical maintenance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Siebel servers, components, logs, crashes and performance issues.
  • Support high availability, load balancing, backup/restore and disaster recovery activities.
  • Coordinate with Oracle DBA, Unix/Linux, Windows, Network, Infrastructure, Security and Middleware teams on platform-related issues.
  • Manage technical activities related to LDAP/external authentication and infrastructure integrations.
  • Automate repetitive administration and deployment activities using scripting where applicable.
  • Manage Production changes through established change, release, security and compliance controls.
  • Participate in 24×7/on-call support for critical Production incidents and planned deployments.
  • Maintain technical runbooks, SOPs, environment documentation and audit evidence.

What we're looking for

Required Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years of hands-on Oracle Siebel Administration / Platform Support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Siebel architecture, installation, configuration and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Siebel deployments, repository/SRF and non-repository migration.
  • Experience with Siebel upgrades, patching, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience in Production environment management and technical incident resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows, Oracle Database and SQL/PLSQL.
  • Experience with HA, DR, backup/restore and load balancing.
  • Knowledge of LDAP/external authentication is an advantage.
  • Scripting/automation experience, preferably Shell.
  • Experience working in large-scale 24×7 enterprise environments.
  • Good understanding of ITIL, Change and Release Management, security and compliance.
