Why we need this role
This position plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Group HSE function. Acting as the owner of HSE systems, reporting, analytics, and digital improvement initiatives, the role ensures leaders have access to accurate, actionable, and timely information to manage risk, drive performance, and support compliance objectives.
The role combines strong data analytics capability with structured project leadership, taking ownership of HSE technology solutions, reporting frameworks, and global improvement initiatives. Working closely with HSE, IT, Digital, and business stakeholders, the position leads the development of scalable reporting solutions, enhances data governance, and delivers projects that improve the effectiveness and maturity of HSE management processes across the organisation.
Reporting to the Global Head of HSE, the role serves as a subject matter expert in HSE data, systems, analytics, and project delivery, supporting global business requirements while driving continuous improvement through technology and insight.
What you will do
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Own and continuously improve HSE dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and automated reporting solutions.
- Analyse performance trends, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders of all levels.
- Ensure HSE data is accurate, consistent, and fit for decision-making.
Systems & Digital Solutions
- Administer and enhance HSE systems, platforms, and reporting tools.
- Support system configuration, user access, data standards, and governance, working with technical teams where required.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, data flows, and user experience.
Project Leadership
- Lead HSE data, reporting, and transformation projects from planning through implementation.
- Manage project plans, timelines, stakeholders, risks, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes and user adoption.
Governance & Stakeholder Support
- Maintain data quality, compliance, and reporting controls in line with company standards and relevant regulations.
- Support audit, sustainability, and management reporting requirements.
- Act as a trusted partner to HSE, IT, and business stakeholders, providing expertise on data, systems, and reporting solutions.
- Support compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, sustainability reporting requirements, and other relevant governance frameworks
What we're looking for
- 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, systems support, project delivery, or a similar business-facing role
- Strong practical experience using Microsoft tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Excel to improve reporting, workflow, and insight
- Strong experience designing dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive reporting solutions
- Proven ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful business insights and recommendations
- Experience leading cross-functional business or technology projects from initiation through implementation
- Experience supporting system enhancements, vendor coordination, release planning, and user adoption activities
- Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality controls, and reporting assurance practices
- Comfortable working with data systems and technical teams; knowledge of SQL, APIs, data modelling, ETL processes, or system integrations[KH1] [KH2] would be advantageous
- Experience working with enterprise applications, reporting tools, or data platforms in a business environment
- Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ESG, Sustainability, Risk, Quality, or Compliance reporting environments would be advantageous
- Strong written and spoken English
- Experience working with global stakeholders within a matrix organisation
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Engineering, Project Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline
- PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, Scrum or equivalent project management certification
- Microsoft Power BI Certification
- Exposure to Azure Data Services, Fabric, Dataverse, or related analytics technologies would be advantageous
- Knowledge of ESG, Sustainability, or HSE reporting requirements
- Experience supporting audit and compliance reporting processes
