What you’ll be trusted with 

  • Under the guidance of management, the Graduate Engineer Trainee will rotate through different roles to perform various tasks related to Colt Network and services.

  • As a trainee, we make sure you are fully trained and confident before you start working 24/7 shifts. This usually happens after you have received 6 months of training.

  • Work in technologies and products such as Optical, Ethernet, IP and leading technologies such as SDN, Cloud based services.

  • Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.

  • Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.

  • Work with engineers during general office hours (24/7 shifts after 6 months of training). This will include working in the office, out in the field or remotely from home whichever is applicable based on the training program

 

What we are looking for

  • University Graduate in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT or relevant technical or Engineering stream is preferred

  • Customer oriented

  • Takes the initiative and ownership for tasks and responsibilities given to them

  • Flexible and adaptable to change

  • With good technical knowledge in IT / Telecommunications Network infrastructure engineering

  • Someone who thrives on teamwork

  • Ability to think and act proactively and logically

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese and English

  • Able to work in Japan
