The Associate Solutions Engineer will support the Solution Engineering team in developing technical solutions for clients. Responsibilities include assisting in the design of solutions that get successfully deployed; troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of networking, cloud technologies, and customer-centric approaches.
Job Description
The Associate Solution Engineer will support the Solution Engineering and Sales teams by providing day-to-day technical documentation, system, process, and order support for customer solutions and services. Key accountabilities include:
- Documenting customer requirements and technical details during the sales cycle.
- Ensuring all service attribute and process requirements necessary for order submission are satisfied.
- Assembling service and order details as needed to support service modifications.
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure delivery of services aligns with customer expectations and agreed-upon business outcomes.
- Ensuring the ongoing accuracy of customer service records, solution documentation, and operating playbooks.
- Assisting Sales and Solutions Engineering teams in responding to RFPs and audit requests.
- Providing feedback that contributes to ongoing process and customer experience improvement initiatives
The Associate Solution Engineer will interact with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Key relationships and contacts include:
- Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during the sales cycle.
- Customers: Engage with clients at various levels to understand their needs and provide technical guidance.
- Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with product management, engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Management Team: Provide regular updates and insights to management team on project progress and strategic initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Associate Solutions Engineer role will include:
- Accuracy and completeness of technical documentation and order submissions.
- Timeliness in responding to customer and internal team requests.
- Customer satisfaction and feedback on service delivery.
- Efficiency in coordinating with internal teams to meet project deadlines.
- Contribution to process and customer experience improvements.
