Why we need this role

This role plays a central role in accounting and reporting, covering critical areas such as month-end processes, audits, financial analysis, business partnering, providing technical support, and driving various projects. This position ensures compliance, accuracy, and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the finance function.

What you will do

 Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Preparing IFRS consolidated and standalone local GAAP financial statements, overseeing the entire financial statement process
• Assisting in both group and subsidiary audits and providing direct support for the annual audit process
Supporting the month-end close process and providing reporting oversight for finance teams in a multi-national environment
• Acting as a go-to contact for wider Finance/Business &
supporting budgeting and decision-making processes. Collaborating with key stakeholders including Tax, FP&A, FBPs, Legal etc.
• Analysing country/divisional and Group monthly results
• Performing variance analysis on consolidated monthly results
• Working closely with the shared service centre finance teams across PL, BS and Equity items, as well as process improvements.
• Providing technical guidance on complex accounting issues, including capex spend and group reorganisations.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, effectively presenting ideas and turning them into practical actions
Supporting project related work and system implementations as required
• Building long-term relationships with internal teams, including country/divisional finance teams and senior Group Finance management, as well as external auditors.
 

What we're looking for

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, trends, and variances across the group.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial accounting, and management accounting.
  • Desirable experience in consolidating financial results across multiple subsidiaries or divisions, including intercompany eliminations.

Skills/Qualifications

An industry-recognised qualification, such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA
