Job Summary

The Security Design Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard data centre assets. They collaborate with stakeholders from across the organisation to design and plan security systems, conduct risks assessment and develop security policies that protect both physical and digital assets.

Job Description

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Design and plan security systems for new data centres, such as access control, and evaluate available technologies to identify the appropriate system for the needs of the data centre

• Conduct risk assessment and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats, developing mitigation strategies

• Work with engineering teams to conduct physical security planning activities such as assessing data centre layouts

• Design physical security measures, such as barriers and signage, to reduce the risk of unauthorised access

• Work with IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of physical and cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets against threats
