Role Title: Capital Markets Sales Specialist

Function: Sales, Marketing and Customer Relationship Management

Reporting to: Global Director, Capital Markets Solutions

Location: Colt Office, London (hybrid set up)

 

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Global Director Capital Markets Solutions this role is a senior Sales position working in the global Capital Markets Solutions Sales team. This role requires a strong knowledge of and working background in Capital Markets. A good understanding of technology in this area would also be beneficial.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Leading sales opportunities involving the Capital Markets Solutions portfolio in relation to exchange colocation, market data, execution services, financial extranet, Ultra low latency connectivity or services in the cloud.
  • Lead a virtual team through the sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification, through commercial proposal, design and negotiation, to handoff to solution delivery.
  • Use your personal network to open up new customers not currently using Colt’s solutions.
  • Cross-regional collaboration on global accounts and key opportunities.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Capital Markets ecosystem and how Colt’s solutions address current and future requirements.
  • Alignment with the Asia Account Management teams on Sales pipeline reporting and accurate forecasting.
  • Work as park of the extended account team for key Capital Markets customers.
  • An ongoing understanding and interest of the evolution of capital markets to evaluate where new opportunities present themselves in the market.
  • Feedback into the Capital Markets Product team regarding market developments and product enhancements required to continue to evolve the Capital Markets Solutions portfolio.
  • Participate in industry events such as trade events, panel discussions and webinars to broadly promote the Capital Markets services.
  • International travel will be required occasionally.

 

Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)

  • Regional Pipeline Management : Building a qualified pipeline over Major Bids/Complex solutions to cover 12 - 18 months rolling period.
  • Managing Pipeline and conversion to a WIN ratio > 50%.
  • Achieve/overachieve booking and revenue targets.
  • Contribute to reporting (pipeline, forecast, win-loss ratio) in order to manage achievement of booking and revenue targets.

 

Relationships and key contacts

  • Exposure to the EVPs, VPs  and Senior Managers across Colt in all territories.
  • An extensive network of customers and contacts across the Capital Markets landscape with access to key stakeholders and decision-makers within those companies.

 

Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to communicate, present and influence at Executive level
  • 10+ years’ experience working in financial technology or market data sales
  • Strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit, persuasive and inspiring
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration Skills (roles requires collaboration with sales leaders, product leadership and operation
  • Experience of developing and executing on a sales/business plan and associated financial objectives
  • Results-oriented individual with high commitment, resilience and a positive attitude
  • English language skills at professional level and any other foreign language would be a positive but not essential
  • Degree-level qualification preferred

Travel opportunities to Europe and the United States. Candidate should be able to travel up to 10%.
