Why we need this role
During the implementation of our new ERP system, the Regional Finance Manager role has been created on a fixed term contract basis to the end of 2026. The key purpose of this is to help strengthen our team to ensure our business-as-usual activities are delivered during the lifespan of the project, and supporting on the delivery of the new system.
What you will do
Reporting to the European Regional Head of Finance, you'll operate in a central regional role which will assist with managing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the region.
As such, you'll be collaborating with our Country Finance Managers in the team, the Financial Shared Service Centre and other internal stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met, whilst also providing strategic insights to support business decisions.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of key responsibilities:
• Support the Regional Head of Finance on the ERP implementation including support for CTC related tasks and adaptations for localisations across all regions, review of test scripts, training materials and cutover procedures
• Manage the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for the region, including annual budget cycle, quarterly forecasts and multi-year strategic planning processes.
• Review and analyze financial reports for the European data centre estate, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the financial reports and associated PropCo site metrics for presentation to senior management.
• Review new investment and funding requests supporting the Country Finance Managers with the review activities and challenging the business teams on key assumptions
• Present to the Group CFO/Head of FP&A on the monthly regional finance review meetings
• Monitor regional financial performance and provide insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability, including involvement in regular revenue and asset management reviews .
• Review monthly cash flow forecasts and quarterly medium term forecasts produced for the Region to ensure completeness and accuracy of submissions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial performance and develop strategies for improving the site profitability and the quality of reporting
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Country Finance Managers to ensure there is compliance with financial regulations and company policies across the region.
• Oversee the audit tasks for the region ensuring that auditor requests are answered fully and the responses are timely
• Support the development of financial models and tools to enhance decision-making processes.
• Perform adhoc financial analysis as directed by the Regional Head of Finance and the Central Finance team
• Adhoc analysis and coordination in relation to other regional projects
What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, financial acumen, and experience in finance leadership positions in a business facing finance role. A summary of key requirements is below:
• Fully qualified with strong experience in commercial finance leadership roles in multinational organisations (experience in technology sector and big 4 background preferred).
• Proven experience in finance management, financial planning & analysis, commercial finance or related roles
• Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, systems and IFRS accounting principles.
• Proficient in reviewing financial reports and commercial business cases
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proactive can do attitude with inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn
• Strong communication, team working and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
