Why we need this role

Colt Assurance & Inventory Application Development Team is looking for a Technical Lead to work with dynamic developers in the Telco space in the Voice area. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team that analyses, designs, develops, Colts Voice software applications in line with the company business requirements. The development of the solution should align with the Colt strategy to achieve the overall business goals. 
As part of this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, system architects, BA’s, project managers and other development teams to deliver Voice projects while maintaining a high standard in applications development in both technical and functional levels.
Software Engineer is responsible to design , develop, and maintain software systems and applications that enable and support Colt’s business needs, whilst ensuring the solutions integrate with the existing company’s infrastructure.

 

What you will do

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Should be able to independently drive project from requirement gathering to  delivery on production till post production defects are resolved
  • Share new innovative ideas for improvement in application or value add in project or improvement in development process
  • Should be able to code and guide developers in providing technical solution based on requirement.
  • Lead and participate in all phases of application development lifecycle
  • Proactively participate in defect resolution and solving problems within team.
  • Ensure compliance to all SDLS standards and management
  • Maintain excellent technical knowledge to provide directions to the development team and process
  • Should be able to review code and share correctness in code
  • Ability to provide innovative technical analysis and suggestions on the application architecture design improvements using state-of-the-art technologies
  • Resolve complex software engineering issues
  • Closely work with enterprise architects to identify the gaps in architecture, processes, and applications at the initial stage of the development lifecycle and find ways to mitigate them
  • Engage in scope and solutions discussions with the key stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery of high quality code according to schedule
  • Ensure data integrity and security for all solutions delivered in line with Colt standards
  • Contribute, evaluate and assess high level and low level design documentation
  • Cross functional and department engagement to agree a common solution collaboratively

What we are looking for

•    Need 6-7 years experienced candidate proficient in Java, Spring IOC, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices, Oracle
•    Good experience in ActiveMQ, Docker/Docker Swarm, Git Lab & Kafka
•    Good OSS/BSS Application knowledge
•    Excellent knowledge of in application development methodologies Agile, Waterfall, Dev Ops
•    Proven capability in developing scalable applications
•    Knowledge in opensource technologies
•    Sound knowledge in Operating systems and Database technology
•    Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements
•    Knowledge in API and middleware
•    Good Knowledge on CI/CD tools
•    Knowledge in microservices, containers and Kubernetes
•    Maintain and Document requirements, source and evaluate alternatives,and recommend solution that best fits stakeholders'
