What you will do

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for undertaking simple complexity deal pricing activities for all countries and for data products.
  • Maintain, contribute and deliver competitive market focused pricing, maximising revenues and margin
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes & tools
  • Ensure adherence to pricing governance as per Colt policies
  • Ensure all approved bids and deal pricing requests are thoroughly costed and competitively priced within the required timescales
  • Act as a primary source for commercial expertise through an extensive understanding of Colt products, markets and competitors.
  • Check and verify the opportunities proposed, ensuring that all opportunities are evaluated, with due consideration for Colt’s risk and adherence to deal governance.
  • Support the implementation of Colt’s pricing strategy
  • Communicate to key internal stakeholders and across functions in support of the Sales process
  • Ensure all deals are thoroughly costed and competitively priced within the required timescales
  • Assess commercial risks for Colt on opportunities and ensure governance
  • Provides support to Pricing/Commercial management team

What are we looking for

Skills & Experience

  • Good exposure to pricing/commercial finance in Telecom/IT
  • A good technical understanding of telecoms technology, Colt products, the competitive environment and where Colt is positioned
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Ability to present and communicate to sales & senior management
  • Customer focused and commercially astute in order to support teams during customer commercial negotiations
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with sales & business staff and to form teams across organisational boundaries.
  • Demonstrable experience of working across functional disciplines to achieve project success.

Person specification

  • Fluency in the English language
  • Proficient with numbers and advanced model calculations
  • Adept at working in a fast moving and multicultural environment
  • Takes initiative to keep skills of self up to date and actively contributes to team knowledge sharing
  • ‘Can do’ attitude, ability to work under pressure and across organisational boundaries in multicultural environment

Qualifications: Graduate/MBA or Formal education in business or numerate discipline or equivalent
