Why we need this role:

As a Sr./Tech Lead in Security Operations with a strong focus on project-based security initiatives, drive key security projects and enhance Colt's security infrastructure services. Leveraging expert-level technical and operational skills, you will manage and implement projects across a range of security technologies, including firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper), IPS (Tipping Point), proxies (Zscaler Proxy and ZPA), and load balancers (F5 WAF).

Supporting SOC Manager to ensure SLA and quality standards are met. This role will also include responsibilities like escalations handling, vendor management, and interaction with other support teams to ensure successful delivery of the security services.

What you will do:

Support SOC Manager to deliver the following

 

Project Scope & Requirements Definition: Work with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables for infrastructure security initiatives.

Lead Design & Implementation Discussions: Direct design sessions, streamline service delivery plans, and oversee implementation to meet security and performance goals.

Operational Leadership & Escalation: Act as a lead and escalation point for the operations team, ensuring incident resolution within SLAs.

Monitor & Report Effectiveness of Security Technologies: Regularly assess and report on the performance of security enforcement tools to maintain optimal security posture.

Incident, Change, and Problem Management: Execute notification, escalation, and communication of incidents and changes, ensuring timely management attention.

Process & Documentation Management: Regularly review, update, and maintain technical and process documentation for the team.

Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Resolve issues on security devices, including configuration adjustments, re-installations, and replacements.

Policy & SLA Compliance: Enforce defined security device management policies, procedures, and SLAs.

Preventive Maintenance: Document common problems, share insights, and support the team in proactive problem prevention.

Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with IT and cross-functional teams, ensuring resource availability and skill alignment.

Service Delivery Improvement: Contribute to service delivery improvements, propose recommendations, and ensure successful implementation of action plans.

What we’re looking for:

  • Familiarity with industry standards, policies, controls, and structures related to information security.

  • Hands-on Experience in managing and troubleshooting security technologies including firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper), IPS (Tipping Point), proxies (Zscaler Proxy and ZPA), and load balancers (F5 WAF).

  • Extensive experience in VPN setup, configuration, and troubleshooting to ensure secure communication.

  • Routing & Switching Expertise: Strong background in routing and switching technologies, with a proven ability to troubleshoot related issues.

  • Experience in resource, project, budget and vendor management
