Why we need this role:

 Provides technical expertise on SAP finance modules and finance value chains (in FICO & CLM), supports with finance system & process transformations. 

Responsible for developing, enhancing and driving system & process transformation for FICO & CLM modules. The SAP and Process Specialist acts as a subject matter expert for a module and functional area, provides guidance to customer needs, makes recommendation on practical project solutions and works with project management to coordinate tasks and timelines while ensuring compliance with Colt’s governance process.  

What you will do:

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in the end-to-end delivery of enhancement and configuration changes in SAP ERP focusing on FICO accounting related processes – requirements gathering, solution definition, system testing & driving transformation as an SME.
  • Contribute to multiple and varying projects in SAP ERP as they relate to General Ledger accounting, Bank & Lease Accounting processes.
  • Act as SAP FI/CO subject matter expert to provide business and project teams with best practice analysis, recommended solutions and support
  • Analyse Customer Issues & review solutions proposed by system development teams to ensure core and standard functionality of the SAP ERP system is not compromised & align with Colt’s broader financial strategy
  • Review and approve functional specifications and coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Ensure synchronization of data in SAP ERP and SAP BPC & maintain appropriate reconciliation processes
  • Provide system support in monthly closing and annual financial planning processes for Colt Core & DCS
  • Actively own and deliver appropriate training to finance and business users
  • Perform system application and administration tasks, ensuring compliance with standard governance processes
  • Ad-hoc activities as requested by Finance Systems Managers
  • To support Intercompany and In-House Cash as a back-up
  • Analyzing the areas of improvements proactively in the respective area to bring more efficiencies in the processes.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 5+ years of business and/or SAP functional experience.
  • Demonstrated Excel experience
  • Organized with ability to multi-task and contribute to large and small cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of Master Chart of Accounts, Accounting entries and impact on financials with the ability to identify the variances with solution.
  • Knowledge in S/4 Hana & ERP implementation will be advantageous
  • Experience in managing the stakeholders 

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree Finance, Accounting or related field
