Why we need this role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to support our monthly financial close and statutory reporting requirements. In this role, you will oversee the preparation of accurate and compliant IFRS financial statements, manage journal postings, perform account reconciliations, and analyze month‑end P&L and balance sheet movements. You will also lead the conversion of IFRS results to J‑GAAP by identifying key differences, preparing adjustment entries, and ensuring complete and well‑documented local GAAP reporting for tax and statutory purposes.

What you will do

Monthly BAU Activities

Prepare month-end financial statements ensuring compliance with IFRS.
Journal posting & reconcile balances, accruals, provisions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Complete review of P&L and B/s movement every month
Preparation of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly decks/schedules for consolidation at Group level
Support auditors by providing documentation, schedules, and responses to queries.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all entries are posted before the finalization.

Local GAAP Adjustments

Compare IFRS financials with J-GAAP standards to identify adjustments.
Analyze key areas like revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and deferred taxes.
Prepare J-GAAP adjustments ensuring accurate mapping of accounts in excel.
Reconcile differences arising from varying treatment.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of J-GAAP conversion steps and assumption.
Provide detailed J-GAAP-compliant financial statements and disclosures to Tax team.

What we're looking for

Business level Japanese and English
5+ years accounting experience (General Ledger)
Strong understanding of IFRS and J-GAAP
Proficiency in SAP ERP system
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
