Job Summary

This role is a fixed term contract for 8 - 12 months as maternity cover. The dedication is flexible up to a minimum of a 75% dedication, which translates into 28.5 h week.

Join our dynamic HR Operations team in Spain as a vital member, collaborating closely with our global HR organization on various exciting projects and initiatives. You'll leverage your HR expertise to become a trusted advisor for managers and employees within a designated business function, offering comprehensive support on all HR-related matters.

What you will do

The main responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Provide in-depth HR knowledge to autonomously take the lead for a designated business function on all Country HR related tasks and activities across the entire employees' life-cycle
  • Coach managers on best practices and all HR initiatives so they can effectively lead and support their teams
  • Drive employee relations activities and advise the business on Spanish Labour Law ( hiring, disciplinary processes, absence management, international assignments etc)
  • Work closely with the relevant Business Partners responsible for business function
  • Conducting employee onboarding and help planning of training and development.
  • Administering compensation and benefit plans, supporting with communications and employee guidance.

 

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor / Master in any HR related or legal subject
  • Good experience working in an HR function required 
  • Up to date knowledge of Spanish employment legislation and best practice
  • First experience in works council relations preferable
  • Previous experience in working in an international matrix-structure desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Capacity to deal with a wide range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressure
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, influence and problem solving skills 
  • Friendly and able to converse with people at any level
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning and analytical skills

Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or a relevant field
