Why we need this role.
This role is need to manage the following:-
STPI Compliance – Manage STPI registration, renewals, import/export approvals, SOFTEX filings, and LOP/CG enhancements.
India Customs Compliance – Handle import/export clearances, CHA coordination, vendor management, bonding/de-bonding, and IGCR/SVB compliance.
DGFT Compliance – Manage IEC profile updates and ensure RCMC renewal & compliance.
RBI Compliance – Oversee EDPMS/IDPMS closures, SOFTEX reconciliations, foreign realizations, and FEMA compliance.
GST Compliance – Ensure timely GST filings and assist in audits & reconciliations.
What you will do
Typical roles and responsibilities include:
- Oversee STPI registration and renewal processes to ensure compliance.
- Obtain necessary approvals from STPI for imports, re-exports, and de-bonding.
- Ensure timely submission of MPR, APR, and SOFTEX forms in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate LOP renewals and capital goods (CG) enhancements.
- Manage customs import clearances and coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA).
- Handle foreign vendor management and oversee compliance with import.
- Ensure adherence to IGCR, SVB, and other regulatory frameworks governing import/export operations.
- Oversee EDPMS and IDPMS closures to ensure compliance with RBI regulations.
- Conduct SOFTEX reconciliations and report foreign earnings as per statutory guidelines.
- Monitor foreign realizations and ensure compliance with FEMA regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns in compliance with tax laws.
- Support and assist in GST audits and reconciliations to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Responsible for administering the Compliance Tool and ensuring end-to-end compliance by overseeing timely completion of all regulatory and internal requirements across functions.
What we are looking for
Skills & Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in handling STPI, Customs, RBI, DGFT, and GST compliance. Certification in International Trade, GST, or Compliance will be an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of STPI, Customs, DGFT, RBI, and GST regulations.
- Strong understanding of import-export procedures, documentation, and foreign trade policies.
- Familiarity with FEMA guidelines and foreign exchange compliance.
- Proficiency in using government portals for filings (STPI, ICEGATE, DGFT, RBI, GSTN, etc.).
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to liaise with customs authorities, CHAs, and government departments.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple compliance tasks within tight deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication (English)
