Why we need this role.

As an Apprentice - Network Analyst, you will embark on a learning journey within Colt’s Network Engineering team. This role offers hands-on exposure to IP networks, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and the business analysis of telecom connectivity products. You will also gain practical experience for programming and explore automation use-cases to improve efficiency in telecom network activities.

 

What you will do

 

  • Routing & Switching: Learn the fundamentals of configuring and maintaining routers and switches in enterprise environments.
  • TCP/IP Protocols: Gain hands-on experience with TCP/IP stack, packet flow, and traffic analysis
  • Telecom Connectivity Products: Support the evaluation and testing of Colt’s connectivity solutions, including Ethernet, Internet and IP services
  • Automation Use-Cases: Explore opportunities to apply automation in network engineering.
  • Network Analysis: Assist in monitoring and analyzing network performance, identifying issues, and supporting troubleshooting activities.
  • Documentation: Prepare reports, project and business analytics. Work closely with senior staff and cross-functional teams to support ongoing initiatives

What we are looking for

Must haves:

 

  • Graduate degree in science, maths or computers or Graduate/Diploma in any engineering discipline.
  • Enthusiastic about building a career in Internet industry and network operators’ environments.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks and protocols.
  • Interest in learning programming and apply automation concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn, be patient and adapt in a fast-paced telecom environment.
  • Good communication in English and teamwork abilities.                                         

 

Might haves:

  • Previous project or activities involving telecom networks.
  • Experience in writing code to solve hard problem or use-cases.
