Colt is a growing business that is investing in its people. We offer skill development, learning pathways and accreditation to help our people
perform at their best, regardless of role and location.
We aim to continually grow the capability of our people by developing their skills, knowledge, competencies and confidence. At Colt, our
people are provided with learning opportunities designed to align with the needs of the Business, growing the capability of everybody to meet
the challenges facing the company both now and in the future.
Reward and Recognition
Our culture is to recognise and reward high performance. Our ACE Programme (awards for Colt excellence) enables recognition on a number
of levels across the whole business. Our highest performers across Colt are rewarded annually with a trip of a lifetime. Past destinations have
included Miami and Cape Town, where award winners have experienced all these cities have to offer, as well as participated in a local CSR
initiative.
Colt also rewards colleagues that reach a range of career milestones – it's designed to thank employees who have remained loyal to Colt.
Career Progression
Role mapping and career development planning is important for growing and retaining the good people we have at Colt. We offer a range of
management training options and work hard to develop our people.
Andy Young – Sales Specialist Director, Capital Markets
During the 14 years I have been at Colt, I have done a variety of roles within the Sales team. I started as a New Business Sales executive
and have worked my way up to where I am now, managing a specialist team for Colt’s Capital Markets business. There are many opportunities
to grow here. It’s been a very exciting journey and what makes me want to come in to work every day is being surrounded by likeminded
people that are talented, want to go the extra mile and also like to have fun and enjoy being social.
Andy Sobryan – Product Technology, Network Design Architect
Colt never stands still, it is continually evolving and that is what keeps it a fresh and exciting place to work. I started here when it was only a
UK organisation. It began to grow to other European countries and this provided an opportunity to work for and interact with people from different
nations but all working with a common goal. You will not get this level of collaboration anywhere else. This further extended to our two
offices in India and more recently Colt Asia. I have been lucky enough to work on a range of different projects, customers and experiences. All
of which I have enjoyed and have thoroughly challenged me.
Laura Perrott – Head of Brand and Digital Marketing
Starting off at Colt in internal comms in 2010 I had the opportunity to move forward in my career very quickly. With my passion for digital, I
soon moved into digital marketing. I then moved into a role managing a team doing design and content, which led into becoming Head of
Brand. In my time at Colt I’ve led a rebrand, managed a complete website upgrade and run multiple global campaigns. I work in a team of
great people who are smart, capable and often very funny. I truly believe there are great opportunities at Colt for motivated, passionate
people.
