Short Description

Sitting within the DCS Commercial Sales Team, reporting to the Head Sales Europe, the primary purpose of this role is to support the creation of sales opportunities by using technical expertise of the Data Centre industry. Focussed on the customers that are looking for Data Centre services in London, Paris & Frankfurt. This role will be focused on seeking out new logos and new biz from existing customer in our Data Centres in the region as well as looking after the existing customers contract and taking care of renewing these existing contract before contract expiry. The ideal candidate is a “hunter” type induvial with a proactive, self-driven and commercially creative approach who can as well negotiate the existing renewal contracts.

Job Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for the business performance of Colt teams and in-region execution of Colt’s Go to Market, delivering market leading revenue and bookings growth from new business and acquisition, whilst developing and retaining/protecting existing accounts. Driving Sales performance through an effective leadership style.

Job Description

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Coaching and managing the sales teams to be effective and productive, which includes setting performance expectations, providing guidance, and monitoring their progress.

• Identifying the professional development needs of the sales team and providing training and resources to support their growth.

• Ensuring high standards of operation and compliance with Colts’ sales governance.

• Collaborating with the Sales director or upper management to set Sales targets for the team and individual Sales representatives.

• Developing sales plans and strategies to meet revenue targets and implementing them effectively.

• Monitoring and managing customer interactions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

• Assisting in sales forecasting and budgeting processes to plan for future growth and resource allocation.

• Driving revenue and margin in the division through complex new business opportunities, BAU transactional and developing and retaining existing accounts (churn reduction).

 

Skills that you can bring to the role:


•    Proven experience of a Sales Executive role within the data centre / cloud industry sector.

•    Proven experience building and maintaining a healthy pipeline. 

•    Able to demonstrate a strong performance track record.

•    Fluent in English both written and spoken.; other European language like French or German will be highly beneficial.

•    Diligent in their approach ; timely and accurate data inputting.

•    A results orientated approach with the self-motivation to work autonomously without the need for close management and the credibility to manage expectations in order to deliver without over promising.

•    Excellent forward planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise those items with maximum positive impact on Colt's business and customers.
