Role purpose
To manage internal projects, with specific emphasis on future-proof design, ensuring that
projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with right level of quality, using project
management methodology and company standard processes.
You will be required to manage multiple projects, therefore a high degree of time
management is needed.


Key accountabilities
[General]
Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of
small/medium sized projects with limited complexity, directing and counselling project
team members, and advising stakeholders as necessary on all phases.
Maintains effective financial and project progress forecasting, and reports as appropriate.
Ensures that a change control procedure is in place, and actively used to assess the
effect of changes to the projects on costs, timescale and/or resource needs.
Demonstrates control of assigned projects against the key parameters of schedule, risk,
finance, scope at all times during the project lifecycle
Ensures all key PM documentation is developed and maintained, including Project Plan,
Risk and Issues register, stakeholder reports, Lessons learned etc.

Arrange Microsoft Teams meeting with Project members who are mainly based in Japan
and facilitate the meeting in Japanese.
Track Action Items with the owner to get it delivered on time.
Identify and involve the stakeholders to get work done for the project
Creates & Maintains Project Plan, Gantt Chart, To Do List, Issue & Risk Register, etc
Reporting the project status in the tool and in the stakeholder call if required.

Quality and Process
Ensuring that all project documentation is maintained to a high standard and that all
project deliverables meet the sponsor’s expectations of performance and quality.
Ensuring that financial systems and project reporting tools are maintained to reflect the
state of project progress.
Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)
Project milestones executed as per baselined schedule
Project is run within committed budget
Project scope delivered as per sponsor requirement
Project deliverables meet the quality and signoff requirements of sponsor and operational
teams

Relationships and key contacts
The project virtual team would be Engineering, Node & Asset management, Carrier
Relation Management, Service Delivery, Fiber Engineering, Operation etc. For this role,
most members are based in Japan, but some are in India
The PMO team offers tools and reporting support to the PM team.


Role specific requirements
Skills &
Experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager managing multiple projects.
Previous working knowledge of internet and telecommunications
networking technologies and related IT systems
Qualifications  APM, MSP, PRINCE2 and/or industry recognised programme
management qualification - < Preferable>
Very good communication and negotiation skills
Personal drive, highly self-motivated and self-organised
Flexibility and creativity
Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken). Business level in English is
preferable.
Others
Be aware of Colt information security, business continuity, quality and other ISO or
equivalent policies/ industry standards and discharge duties against them as appropriate.
Identify risks related to process and information security and treat/ mitigate the same as
appropriate
