Role purpose
Provide HR expertise and operational support across all aspects of the Employee Lifecycle throughout our UK, US and Ireland offices by ensuring a pro-active, consistent and efficient approach in line with our Global Operating Model.
You’ll also advise and assist to all UK, IE & US employees for all employment related queries, with reference to, and interpretation of, local legislation, the employee handbooks and policies.
Key accountabilities
- Partner with business and HR stakeholders to provide support across all aspects of HR Operations.
- Ensure that business needs are met whilst remaining legally compliant, and operating in line with best practice guidelines.
- Manage and lead on complex Employee Relation cases including negotiations and consultations. Provide advice to colleagues Globally on UK, IE and US Employment law.
- Manage performance related matters and investigations including grievances, performance improvement plans and disciplinaries.
- Manage all aspects of family leave, employees’ return to work, extended sick leave cases.
- Liaise with occupational health providers for advice, review recommendations and discuss course of action with line managers and employees’.
- Support the operational elements of all key people processes such as performance management or annual salary and benefits review.
- Prepare and process contracts of employment and employment letters, ensuring an efficient process and responding to queries related to them.
- Ensure all employment changes are updated in HR systems and communicated effectively to payroll as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of HR policy, programmes and business change management initiatives operationally.
- Collaborate with HR Colleagues across all specialisms on the delivery of various global HR initiatives to drive business change.
Role specific requirements
Skills & Experience
- Proven work experience as an HR advisor across all aspects of the Employee Lifecycle
- CIPD qualified to Level 5 or equivalent level qualification and/or experience
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
- Robust, resilient, approachable and diplomatic with the confidence to deal with challenging senior leaders
- A strong customer service mind set when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail
- Capacity to deal with a wide range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and cope with pressure
- Able to demonstrate initiative, influence and problem solving skills
- Friendly and able to converse with people at any level
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills, particularly with respect to organisation, prioritisation, and time management.
