OFCI Procurement Manager 

Role Overview 

 

As the OFCI Procurement Manager within Delivery Commercial & Procurement, your role is pivotal in overseeing all major build projects' procurement processes globally, with a focus on commercial, contractual, and relationship management aspects.  

Reporting to the Head of Commercial-Major Builds, you'll spearhead procurement management to ensure exceptional outcomes. From sourcing and RFP processes to negotiation and vendor management, you'll oversee both tactical and strategic aspects, striving for cost reduction, speed to market, and seamless operations.  

With Colt DCS's expansion in data centre facilities worldwide, your expertise in contractual construction procurement will be instrumental in our continued success. Based in Paris, you'll collaborate closely within the Commercial/Procurement Team (London & Paris) , demonstrating exceptional teamwork while leading virtual teams across a complex and evolving business landscape. 

Outcomes  

  • Successfully manage OFCI procurement elements for major builds in Paris, achieving operating and capital cost reduction targets. 

  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to optimise operating costs and benefits for Colt DCS, including soft services such as consulting. 

  • Track and report cost reduction savings in collaboration with the Cost Management team, providing detailed management information for project progress meetings. 

  • Provide expert procurement advice and support, managing strategic sourcing for projects and identifying innovative procurement solutions. 

  • Complete strategic procurement reviews and manage capital investment requirements and major build opportunities. 

  • Coordinate with Legal and Commercial teams for negotiation of commercial construction contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate policies. 

  • Manage procurement governance and best practice policies, overseeing PR and PO process management and acting as a subject matter expert on procurement issues. 

  • Create a win-win environment with Suppliers and Key Stakeholders alike 

 

Skills/Qualifications: 

  • A strong Procurement Manager who combines outstanding executional skills with a strategic insight  

  • CIPS or Degree level (Business School) with Procurement, Commercial, Construction and / or Finance 

  • experience 

  • Fluent in French and English with German being advantageous 

  • Proven negotiation skills  - internal and external 

  • E-Sourcing tools  - preferably SAP / Ariba experience 

  • Stakeholder Management and comfortable working with C-level Key Stakeholders across geographies 

  • Culturally aware and astute working in a diverse environment  

  • Deals effectively with ambiguity 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks to deliver maximum positive impact on DCS’s business. 

  • Self -starter that sets tasks with clear goals and outcomes that are over and above those expected 

  • Defines clear behavioural expectations for self and virtual team members 

  • Flexibility to travel at short notice
