Role purpose

Responsibilities include:

• Building and managing relationships with vendors that supply products and services to Colt. They work to ensure that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time in order to maximize the value of those interactions.

• Contributing to the efficiency, productivity and success of Colt

• Acting as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.

Key accountabilities

  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships (QBRs, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
  • Develops a supplier management program with key suppliers & Procurement sourcing & Contract teams including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
  • Ensures to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance
  • Leads stakeholders to develop forecasts for future demand and place orders in a timely fashion based upon vendor lead-time
  • Monitors the performance of each signed contract, supporting the contract manager
  • develops induction programs and provide training to familiarize new vendors with the company’s business processes and quality systems.
  • monitor KPIs such as delivery reliability, quality and accuracy of estimates and invoices
  • Analyzes vendor performance and generate reports for colleagues in contract management, sourcing and supply chain
  • Keeps vendors informed on developments in Colt’s organization or changes in market conditions that might affect demand for vendors’ products or services
  • Continuous vendor audit and credit checks following corporate policies
  • Manage the SOW in Fieldglass
  • Improve P2P policy
  • Manage P&S helpdesk
  • Drive No PO – No Pay compliance

Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)

  • Planning of QBRs available
  • Proper engagement with requestors
  • Mis-performance managed with contract managers
  • Vendors matrix & KPIs available

Relationships and key contacts

  • You will be working closely with the sourcing and contract managers as well as all supplier stakeholder users
  • You will be in liaising with various requesters and stakeholders within  the business as well suppliers.
  • You will be in constant touch with Colt suppliers

 

Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement roles
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
  • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data
  • Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in procurement, supply chain management, logistics or business administration is preferred
