We're looking for an experienced and motivated UI Designer to join us!

 

This role is responsible to design and build capability into the user interfaces of 2 award winning B2B customer-facing Network On Demand applications, working in an Agile/Kanban model.  The primary focus will be to ensure that our UIs are extensible, maintainable, and efficient, whilst building cool new features. Sometimes this means we have to go and re-engineer some parts. 

 

It will also be necessary test the water with new capabilities, and so there will be a need to develop spikes/proof-of-concepts to evaluate front-end tools and approaches to ensure the evolution of the platform makes best use of new technologies and techniques. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Advising on how the UI should evolve. 
  • Estimating size of development tasks 
  • Development of front-end of customer facing online applications. 
  • Contributing to work prioritization 
  • Suggesting and analysing different approaches for building solutions. 
  • Continuously evaluating the codebase for opportunities to improve through refactoring. 
  • Running spike/proof-of-concept exercises to test a concept, new technology or technique. 
  • Mentoring junior developers 

 

Skills: 

Next to great soft skills and the willingness to work in an international environment, collaborating with colleagues across Colt, we are looking for someone with experience in the following:

 

  • AngularJS and Angular 2+ 
  • Javascript/Typescript 
  • HTML/CSS 
  • REST Microservices 
  • Single Page Application development 
  • Web sockets 

Nice to have:  

  • Simple RESTful microservice mocking with Node.js 
  • Selenium
