Key accountabilities |
Local Management Support • Support for the local management community – with regular touch points • Operate as a coach for Managers on matters such as their teams’ management, development and performance. • Actively working to improve manager effectiveness at a localized level • Support local management to analyze Employee Survey results and to take action for the improvement. • Liaise with local management to drive and embed the Colt culture framework (VVS) and Diversity and Inclusion (I&D).
Local HR Project and Business Functional support • In partnership with HRBPs and other HR functions, the HR Manager provides support to ensure that Colt’s global projects/ policies are executed and implemented within Japan to ensure consistency and speed of execution. • Contribute to driving and conducting HR programs and initiatives in order to improve the added value to the HR organization aligned with Colt’s business goals and strategy. • Involvement in key HR projects as and when required by the Global HR Programme Management Office. • Supporting functional succession planning, training and talent management, providing local insights and supporting development planning, as required Using data insights to support key HR initiatives locally: diversity, internal mobility, retention, career opportunities, as required
Employee Lifecycle • Responsible for roll out of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle – including supporting performance management, salary review, performance calibration • Exit interview process, analysis of patterns and trends within function/country • Support Audit consultation & advice for geographically-based elements • Localized HR activities e.g. onboarding, induction of new joiners, company events and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. • Administer employee compensation, training and benefit programs, as required • Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations, as required • Support on international secondments for work permit, visa, accommodation and tax matters, liaising as required with the Global Mobility team. • Review and approve payroll on a monthly basis. • Act as local Crisis Management Team (CMT) Crisis Coordinator and HR Business Continuity Plan (BCP) owner, supporting local crisis management.
Employee Relations • Liaison and advisor for in-country managers and HRBPs for Employee Relations topics • Provide support to employee representative election. • Organize Health and Safety Committee activities/annual stress check |

Skills & Experience |
• 8 to 10 years of experience as a HR practitioner in an international HR environment, with either broad knowledge across a wide range of HR disciplines or expertise in one or more disciplines. • Excellent Presentation and Communication skills. • Willing and capable to balance business needs, without sacrificing the HR role of being an employee advocate. • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning and analytical skills.. • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making and involve confidential or sensitive matters. • Maintain integrity & good eye for detail. • Experience in using HR systems and databases is preferable • Excellent PC skills especially Excel |
Qualifications |
• Bachelor’s Degree • Language: Japanese – Native, English – Business level. |
