Key accountabilities

  • Assists employees and managers with general HR questions pertaining to policies, benefits, payroll, training, recruitment and staffing
  • Responsible for managing employee relations programs including, but not limited to, employee counseling concerning work related problems, disciplinary matters, conducting of exit interviews,  etc.
  • Advises People Managers of all levels on HR policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions.
  • To lead or participate in HR operations transformation Projects or Initiatives when assigned.
  • Lead or co-ordinate activities for HR process/ service improvement
  • Review and implement HR policies and procedures to compliance with local law and Colt global policies.
  • Manage staff benefits system to ensure competitiveness in local market, e.g., commercial insurance.
  • Support on international secondments for work permit, visa, accommodation and tax.
  • Conduct Orientation for new joiners.
  • Submit reports / survey to government agent as required.
  • Support Dalian payroll team on monthly basis.
  • Identify areas of process enhancement, data generation in MYHR and improve processes
  • Local vendors management, contracting, PO and payment for all local HR vendors.
  • Lead monthly health and safety committee and document
  • Tracking overtime on monthly basis and ensure health check counselling is provided to employees who worked more than 80 hours

Process any Japan related benefits, vacation entitlements

Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)

  • Identify opportunities of process improvement and system enhancement
  • Execute miscellaneous HR admin work quickly and efficiently

Build relationship/network not only within Japan, but also other Asia countries/global teams

Skills & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in HR operations
  • Thorough understanding of HR processes and practices
  • Experience in using HR systems and databases
  • Project Management Skills
  • Proven experience of working in a demanding, multicultural HR environment
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to execute multi-tasks
  • Be a team player and able to build relationships at all levels
  • Strong business acumen and ability to engage key stakeholders/ customers

Analytical and possess problem solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Good Verbal and written communication skills in Japanese & English.
