Job Description

POSITION TITLE: 

Financial Analyst, DCS Finance

DEPARTMENT: 

Data Centre Service Asia

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The primary role of this position is to provide financial and other analytical information to support the decision making of the DCS Asia Management Team and the wider DCS Management Team.

The candidate should be able to provide accurate reporting and analysis of the performance of all areas of the business and drive improvements where required.

As this involves understanding financial, technical and commercial inputs the candidate must be able to work in close collaboration with all areas across the business and geographies.

This role should also play an important part in helping to understand mitigate and report areas of risk. The candidate will need to be able to think outside of core finance areas to help manage these risks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tracking, reporting and analyzing the monthly financial performance of the business and our key KPIs
  • Driving improvements to our reporting and forecasting process to increase the level of granularity and our understanding of the true performance of each DC location 
  • Supporting initiatives to continue the separation of the DCS business from Colt Core
  • Managing the month end close process in conjunction with the Colt Core finance team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the DCS Asia results.
  • Supporting the entire financial management for our other data centre campus’ including treasury management and reporting to Fidelity and other partners
  • Identifying areas for cost efficiencies, operational improvements
  • Assisting finance and real estate teams with business case type analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional financial qualification preferred but not essential provided the candidate has suitable experience.
  • Graduate level degree, preferably in finance related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting and analysis roles.
  • Advanced Modelling, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to other finance IT systems.
  • Strong English language skills (verbal and written both) are required to support the needs of overseas Colt offices and international stakeholders.
  • Data centre experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new requests and a changing business environment while effectively prioritizing tasks.

  • Proactive and independent in terms of managing the responsibilities and communicate effectively with all stakeholder (internal/external).
  • Confidence in own abilities to effectively challenge assumptions and requests while maintaining good relationships.
