Role purpose

  • The Pricing Analyst will work closely with members of the Sales, Product, Network and Finance departments utilizing various tools in order to provide deal desk/quoting functions for the company’s products.  This position will play a critical role in contributing to the company’s performance by providing deal support.



Key accountabilities

  • Drive, Provide commercial support for Colt products including but not limited to Optical, Ethernet, IPVPN, IP Access, and Managed Services.
  • Act as trusted adviser to Sales on pricing, product configuration, and business terms to support the sales effort.
  • Work with Sales Team, Solution Architects, Product Managers, Network, Finance, Vendors, and Colt EU to come up with lowest cost solutions that best fit customer requirements.
  • Utilize various tools such as Excel and other internal systems to structure the deals.
  • Investigate and recommend enhancements to existing pricing programs.
  • Lead and/or participate in strategic pricing discussions and projects.
  • Track and analyse market/customer trends and competitive pricing moves in order to recommend appropriate course of actions.
  • Lead and/or participate in specific pricing initiatives from investigation to implementation.

  • Number of deal pricing requests managed by month
  • Turn Around Time in Approved Deal P&L production.
  • Win ratio of opportunities managed
  • Profitability of won opportunities
  • Number of requests received by channel and product

Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience


  • English and Japanese – business verbal and written
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Deal Pricing or related activities
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in International environment.
  • Proven experience in commercial finance and/or negotiations – commercially astute.
  • Strong relationship building skills to quickly establish credibility and rapport with sales and key stakeholders


  • A good technical understanding of telecoms technology, Colt products, the competitive environment and where Colt is positioned


  • Degree level or equivalent, preferably finance or business related
  • Strong Excel modelling skills


  • Proactive, independent with strong sense of ownership
  • Deploy high degrees of diplomacy and cultural awareness
  • Ability to think and act internationally and cross functionally
  • Ability to work under multi-task, pressure and tight deadlines
  • Team player
  • Customer oriented
